The VocalEssence Chorale, Ghana on Saturday, August 16, hosted “An Evening of Hymns, Dirges & Tributes” in memory of the late Mr. Ernest Kissi Omari at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rev. Nantoma Memorial Congregation, Kanda–Accra.
It was a deeply moving evening as voices were lifted in song, prayer, and remembrance to honor a life that touched many. In attendance were the UG Jubilee Choir and Alumni, the Kanda Presby Church Choir, celebrated gospel artiste Superintendent Kofi Sarpong, Ghanaian composer James Varrick Armah, together with family, friends, and loved ones who gathered to pay their respects.
The atmosphere was filled with solemnity and reflection. Every hymn and tribute stirred emotions, drawing tears from many who could not hold back their grief. Yet, amidst the sorrow, there was gratitude—for the memories shared, the lives touched, and the enduring legacy of Mr. Omari.
It was a night that reminded all present of the power of music not only to console but also to preserve the memory of one dearly loved and deeply missed.
