The late Ernest Omari Kissi (also known as Nana Yaw), who served as an administrator at VocalEssence Ghana and was also a sensational bass singer, will be laid to rest on Saturday, 30th August 2025.
He was the son of the late James Wiafe Omari and Stella Ampadu Omari, and is survived by his five siblings.
The laying in state will take place on Saturday, 30th August 2025 at the Ghana Police Depot Funeral Grounds, Tesano, beginning at 6:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow on the same day at the Central Band, Police Depot, Tesano, after which interment will be held at the Achimota Cemetery. Final funeral rites will be observed immediately after the burial at the Police Depot Funeral Grounds, Tesano.
A thanksgiving service is scheduled for Sunday, 31st August 2025 at the PCG Canaan Congregation, Alajo, starting at 8:30 a.m. The family has noted that there will be no sitting after the thanksgiving service.
